Majoring in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior

Ecology, evolution, and behavior (EEB) students at the University of Minnesota explore a wide range and topics and issues. From the role of specific genes in metabolism, evolution, and even behavior to how climate change affects organisms and processes in tropical rainforests, grasslands, lakes, and ponds, the world is their laboratory! Students learn from some of the most talented faculty members you’ll find anywhere with several members in the prestigious National Academy of Sciences. Many of our faculty work extensively with undergraduates in their lab groups so opportunities are often available.
